Thomas Hart Benton

Thomas Hart Benton was an American painter and muralist, best known for co founding the Regionalist Art movement in the 1930's. Many of his works were inspired from the rural areas of the Mid-Western United States. One of his most famous murals entitled "America Today" was commissioned by the New School in 1930.
